Researching later life and ageing : expanding qualitative research horizons

How are we to conduct research on the continuously changing world of later life? How do we research new ageing populations and groups that have been largely absent from research? What needs to be considered when using qualitative methods in ageing research?Despite a large and growing body of work that uses qualitative methods in ageing research, very few authors reflect on their use of methods when sampling or interviewing older people. This edited collection on researching later life and ageing fills the gap by bringing together leading and emerging scholars from the UK, Australia and Canada to critically reflect on their use of qualitative methods in gaining knowledge of under-researched groups of older people and to point to future research agendas.
